Koehler to be no more...
This Thursday will be the Demolition of the old Koehler Brewery.
I'm not sure about the time, but 21st to 24th street will be blocked come Thursday morning.
I know that Ron will be trying to attend... so I hope to see some of his pictures if I am unable to attend myself.
This shot was taken on Monday morning (During the early morning "Golden Hour"). I didn't have a fish eye lens, so I had to take two photos and stitch them together.
Bye bye "Old" Koehler Building, time to make room for the future.

Hey did you happen to take more than one photo of the Koehler building? I would not mind taking a look at them. I use to like near the koehler barn in Fairview.
Also if you know of anyone with a picture of the old Koehler Barn in Fairview let me know. I have been trying to track one down.

Matt says they are tearing it down around 11 am. Its going to be so strange driving up and down upper state street after.

Julie- Yes, I remember being able to see it from our window (Of mom's house) too.
What I read on www.erieblogs.com is this...
"Cornerstone Healthcare, Urbaniak Brothers and a Pennsylvania Wine and Spirts store have signed leases to more into the new complex."
At around (Kipper)- I did take a few pictures on the same day I took this one. All from the south side of the building. I don't have any pictures of the Koehler Barn in Fairview, but I'm sure there are pictures out there somewhere.
Tam- Thank Matt for me (Us)... I don't know if I will be able to make it, but it should be a blast (Ha!).
Oh man, that was cheezy...

Such a fun building - it's unfortunate there isn't anything they could have used it for. Tam, remember that time we killed and butchered that hooker at the Kohler Building? Godd times.

Kristen - That was you? I think I remember that, because I was the Pimp to that hooker.
I think you owe me some money.
Ahh the memories...

2 1/2 years later after the smokestack came down, the Koehler Brewery Square property (vacant land) has a new owner.
National City Bank today acquired the 1.6-acre parcel at a sheriff's sale for costs of $7,440.
The bank had filed the foreclosure action in the spring, claiming Koehler Brewery Square LLC. had defaulted on the bank's $825,000 mortgage.
