• Wisdom for the President and his cabinet as they formulate and implement response.


• Healing and health for the injured, ill and elderly.


• Wisdom and strength for relief workers and law enforcement officials.


• Consolation for those who have lost loved ones and those whose loved ones are missing.


• Smooth evacuation of residents to the Astrodome in Houston.


• A stop to the looting and a spirit of lawfulness on the part of all.


• Restoration of electricity and water supplies, willingness to conserve by all.


• Aid to those still needing basics of food and water.


• Cooperation and communication between federal, state and local agencies.
